Eric is new to Ann Arbor and has been an educator since 2003. He brings educational leadership experience as well as vast experience with the International Baccalaureate Organization. He has experience with and has led professional development in implementing the DP program, writing across the curriculum, using Theory of Knowledge in instruction, and incorporating international mindedness into the classroom.
Since 2005, he has trained in and taught Diploma Program Literature, History, and Theory of Knowledge, in addition to teaching Middle-Years Literature years four and five. Since 2011, Eric has been a Diploma Program Coordinator and Lead Teacher for the Washtenaw Educational Options Consortium. He also works for the International Baccalaureate Organization as an examiner for IB Literature's World Literature Assignment, Papers 1 and 2, and the Theory of Knowledge essay. Huron will mark the third time that Eric has been a part of the IB candidacy process, and the second time as a Coordinator.
Eric is concurrently completing two Master's degrees: one in literature through the Breadloaf School of English and one in educational leadership from Eastern Michigan University. He also serves as an educational consultant for schools wishing to create globally-minded curricula.
