Ann Arbor Public Schools: Exceptional

The Ann Arbor Public Schools has embarked on a new campaign to share the truly exceptional qualities of our district.  Real staff, students, and opportunities are featured in these spotlights.  We welcome you to explore what makes Ann Arbor Public Schools "Exceptional."

Through a combination of traditional and independent teaching and learning opportunities, including instructor-driven and online coursework, Ann Arbor Public Schools' Choices A 2.0 program invites eligible AAPS high school students - as well as high school-age students living within district boundaries - to explore new ways to engage, reach higher and achieve. Our innovative Choices A 2.0 teaching tools and resources motivate and compel new ways to learn in the classroom, online and in the community. Choices A 2.0 - because exceptional education is not an option.

World-class education in every classroom: Thanks to a 120-mile, countywide fiber network, Ann Arbor Public School students enjoy high-speed wireless Internet, video streaming and distance learning in every classroom. By combining this advanced technology with a rigorous curriculum - including many popular, proven computer-aided learning programs - our highly qualified teachers challenge students across all grade levels to excel and succeed.
