ESY – Extended School Year services are offered to K-12 Special Education students with IEPs who were found eligible for services. ESY services are provided to special education students to support the maintenance of skills and services as determined by the IEP team. Extended School Year services will be provided at King Elementary from July 5, 2016 – August 4, 2016, Monday – Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Title I eligible students (rising 6th, 7th, & 8th,) recommended by administration from Allen, Burns Park, Carpenter, Mitchell, Pattengill, Pittsfield and Scarlett will be supported in targeted reading, social studies, math and writing curriculum. This summer program is for Title III eligible students (rising 4th – 8th) from Allen, Burns Park, Carpenter, Pittsfield, Mitchell, Scarlett & Tappan who are recommended by administration. The content will focus on English language, informational reading, writing, art & technology. Monday – Friday, July 6 – July 26, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. This summer program is for students from the Clague, Forsythe, and Slauson attendance areas who have completed grades 5-8 and are eligible for ELL services. The program runs from 9:00 – 12:30, June 24th - July 17th Monday - Friday (except July 3rd). The program will concentrate on reading, math, vocabulary, writing, social studies, and technology based projects with a thematic approach evolving around inventors and innovation. The Ann Arbor Public Schools Music Program is open to all levels of instrumental music students, rising grades 6-12 open to all students wanting to enroll. Classes include Band, Jazz, Orchestra, and a New Instrument class for those students who desire instruction on a different instrument than the one they are currently playing. Dates: Class dates vary between June 22-July 17, 2015 with July 4th off.

The AAPS Adult Education GED Summer Preparation Class will help you reach the goal of passing the new test. The class is free and open to adults. You do not need to live in the district. Registration is on Wednesday, July 1 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Malletts Creek Library. Classes will be held at Malletts Creek Library on Mondays & Wednesdays from 1 – 4 p.m. The first day of class is July 6. AATA bus tokens are provided for those who need them.
